Do you know a high school student(s) who is interested in pursuing careers in architecture, engineering, building trades, public administration, budgeting and finance, business administration, or information technology?
The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) is proud to announce the open application period for the 2017 High School Summer Internship Program at NYC DDC.
NYC DDC is a New York City agency that serves as the NYC’s primary capital construction project manager. We build many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day and provide communities with new or renovated structures such as firehouses, libraries, police precincts, courthouses, senior centers and more. We collaborate with other City agencies, as well as with emerging and world-renowned architects and consultants.
The High School Summer Internship Program (HSSIP) is a paid internship designed for students interested in pursuing careers in architecture, engineering, building trades, public administration, budgeting and finance, business administration, or information technology.
The program is structured to enable students to gain exposure to the many careers in the built environment and to learn about what it takes to build NYC.
Students work for six weeks in a program that combines hands-on work and educational programming.
