The Season of Lent provides us with a unique opportunity to reflect on our own mortality and explore the ways in which death plays a role in our lives. The Education Ministry invites you to attend a series of four programs designed to help you think critically about the topic of death. Whether you’re interested in what type of legacy you will leave or how our culture interacts with death through the arts, these programs will help you encounter death in a way that leads to a fuller life.
Living our Passages Well
Thursday, March 9 | 2:00-3:30 pm | 9T | with Rev. Debra Northern and Rev. Lynn Casteel Harper
Life is full of passages, as we experience transitions throughout our years: birth, relocation, marriage, divorce, illness, job change, retirement, death. As we begin our Lenten journeys, we gather to share our stories and reflect on how we might faithfully live each of life’s passages, especially as we prepare for our final transition: death. Drawing upon the wisdom of our faith, we seek the strength and courage to make our passages well.
Free and open to the public.
