This is an 8-week beginner’s mindfulness meditation course, to help you increase focus; reduce stress and anxiety; increase self-awareness and emotional regulation; and generate an overall sense of wellbeing.
Week 1 (2/28): Mindful Listening – Learn to listen with relaxed attention and enjoy a practice that naturally brings us into the present moment.
Week 2 (3/7): Mindful Body – In this session we learn how to fully show up to the here and now by discovering mindful body practices.
Week 3 (3/14): Mindful Breathing – One of the classical ways to bring peace and calm into our life; an essential training to reduce stress.
Week 4 (3/21): Mindful Mind – Develop insight and emotional intelligence by patiently watching the mind; a skill we can develop through practice.
Week 5 (3/28): Mindful Movement – Learn the practice of mindful walking and mindful standing for a dynamic experience.
Week 6 (4/4): Mindful Energy – Learn mindful eating exercises and other tips on how we can progress with our training.
Week 7 (4/11): Mindful Sleep – Learn how to fall asleep peacefully, have calm dreams and wake up smiling.
Week (4/18): Mindful Heart – This course concludes with a series of practices to encourage the development of loving-kindness.
* The personal investment is $15 per class. Register for the entire course in advance and save $20. There will be a second iteration of this course that will run on Wednesdays for 8 weeks, starting on May 3, 2017.
