2022 has been an eventful year at the Cathedral! With your help, we reached out to our community as we weathered the Omicron wave of the COVID pandemic, offering food, health screenings, and seasonally-appropriate clothing to the people hardest-hit here in NYC. From online concerts to the return of in-person events, we joyfully (and safely) gathered this year for performances large and small from the New York Philharmonic, American Modern Opera Company, and our Great Music in a Great Space series. We paid tribute to those who passed, from Joan Didion to The Most Reverend Desmond Tutu. Art exhibitions, from the Christ Sculpture installation by Jacques Jarrige to workshops by the multidisciplinary Zip Code Memory Project broadened our cultural horizons and provided a new lens on the Cathedral’s historic art collections. This year also saw the Cathedral take on the historic task of completing important architectural restoration work, cleaning and strengthening our treasured Guastavino dome for generations to come.

There’s still time to support the Cathedral before the year ends. When you make your tax-deductible gift to support the Cathedral, you are nourishing minds, bodies, and souls of all who walk through our doors. Visit our website, stjohndivine.org, to learn more about making an end-of-year donation. And to everyone who has supported our programs, services, and events throughout 2022: our deepest gratitude.
