How can art – performed, visual, written – provide the impulse for change? Why is an artistic medium sometimes the best way to convey a particular message? How can art be a vehicle for activism? How have specific artistic projects changed the lives of their subject or audience, particularly the lives of women? Do women artists bring a particular voice or lens to their medium?
