Project Runway, Barnard edition! ✨
Yesterday, Barnard students hit the runway to present the newspaper garments they created as a part of a “Runaway Sentences” assignment. Students in Acting, taught by Professor Gisela Cardenas, and Costume Design, taught by Professor Sandra Goldmark, worked in teams to choose a character from one of the shows they studied (such as Twelfth Night), found an animal to inspire their character, and then created a sentence to serve as the spine of the piece that they recited on the catwalk. In true Project Runway fashion, they only had 4 hours to complete their looks.
