WHICAP/OFFSPRING at Columbia’s Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease and the Aging Brain is hosting the second annual Brain Health Fair/Feria de la Salud Cerebral. This fair aims to promote protective factors for brain health including sleep, physical activity, diet, cardiovascular health, environment, and social well-being.
About WHICAP/OFFSPRING:
Since 1992, the Washington Heights-Hamilton Heights-Inwood Columbia Aging Project (WHICAP) has followed community older adults to uncover factors that contribute to the aging process and dementia; the OFFSPRING Study is enrolling their children and exploring intergenerational associations in aging and dementia. They are hosting the Brain Health Fair to connect community with resources and as part of the ongoing effort to improve overall health outcomes in Northern Manhattan.
