Climate Training with Union’s Center for Earth Ethics
Application is due on April 28. APPLY >
On Friday, June 9, 2023, the Center for Earth Ethics will host a one-day training at Union Theological Seminary to support faith leaders engaging with their communities in the context of the climate crisis.
The training will address three key areas:
- Practical action sessions will focus on disaster preparedness and resilience efforts.
- Spiritual support sessions will focus on what some faith traditions categorize as “pastoral care.”
- Ethical communication sessions will engage moral reasoning and the prophetic – or truth-telling – aspects of faith traditions.
The training will provide opportunities for people to share and learn about plans and resources, build networks of care and support, hone insights, generate ideas, and organize our communities for action.
“Resilience and Resolve” is being offered by CEE free of charge, though only candidates who have been admitted to the program may attend. Candidates are asked to submit applications by Friday, April 28.
If you, or someone you know, lives in the New York City area and might benefit from this training, please click here to learn more and apply.
