Columbia Climate School Postdoctoral Research Symposium

The Columbia Climate School Postdoctoral Research Program is unique in its mission to train a generation of professionals equipped to address some of the world’s most urgent problems. The symposium will highlight the work of current Postdoctoral Researchers: Shams Azad, Joseph Ko, Nicolas Lippolis, and Maya Moore.

Speakers include:

  • Shams Azad, “Exposure to fine particulate matter in the New York City subway system during home-work commute”
  • Joseph Ko, “Improving representations of ice crystals in atmospheric models: insights from in-situ imagery and machine learning”
  • Nicolas Lippolis, “National Oil Companies and the Political Economy of Energy Transitions: Evidence from Brazil and Angola”
  • Maya Moore, “Assessing access, use, and impact of weather and climate information services among farmers in Guatemala’s Dry Corridor”

 The Symposium will be presented and moderated by Joshua D. Fisher, Co-Director, Columbia Climate School Postdoctoral Research Program; Director and Research Scientist, AC4, Columbia Climate School.
