Join us for the kick-off of the 11th season of Conversations in Black Freedom Studies, with a special expanded in-person film screening of the 2022 Peabody Award–winning documentary, The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks. Based on the bestselling biography by Jeanne Theoharis, the film chronicles Rosa Parks’s lifelong dedication to justice, including the historic Montgomery Bus Boycott and her work on causes including voting rights, fair housing, women’s rights, and more. There will be a post-film talkback featuring director Yoruba Richen and author Jeanne Theoharis.
