CSSG’s meeting #5 – Views of Education during the Sixth Extinction

Dear friends,

Our fifth meeting will take place on 22 November (Tuesday) from 8:00-9:15 pm. It will be led by Christina Torres, a doctoral student in the Science Education Program and the Co-President of the Sustainability Task Force at TC.
In this session, we will discuss more about how to teach and communicate science relevant to climate change and sustainability.
You will be able to find the meeting information, guiding questions, and readings below. Please forward this email to whoever you think might be interested, the TC community and beyond! Please feel comfortable joining us even if you haven’t gotten to the readings.

Title: Views of Education during the Sixth Extinction

Host: Christina Torres

Time: 8-9:15 pm 22 November EST

Meeting Registration: HERE

Guiding questions:

  • How does climate change influence the 6th mass extinction event we are in right now?
  • How can we use this understanding of environmental problems in our approaches to education?
We look forward to meeting you and hearing your voice.
Kind regards,
Climate and Sustainability Study Group
