Fools Mass
Dzieci Theatre’s signature presentation, Fools Mass, celebrates its twenty-sixth season this December, culminating in a return engagement at their beloved Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, at Synod Hall.
Set during the plague years of the 14th century, Fools Mass introduces us to a band of village idiots who must find their way through the holiday service after the death of their beloved pastor. Celebrating the sacred and profane, the miracle of life and the enigma of death, with sublime choral singing, riotous comic buffoonery, and extraordinary dramatic invention, Fools Mass becomes especially relevant for our own ravaged times, embracing the heart of mercy and the sanctity of the human spirit.
Seating is limited, advance tickets recommended.
Tickets cost $30 until November 25th. On November 26th they go up to $40.
This event will take place in Synod Hall, not inside the Cathedral building. Synod Hall’s address is the same as the Cathedral’s (1047 Amsterdam Ave), but the building entrance is located on the corner of 110th Street and Amsterdam Ave. Synod Hall is not an ADA accessible building.
