Impact of the Evolving Cannabis Landscape on Public Health

The Illicit and therapeutic uses of cannabis and cannabis products have changed substantially over the past 20 years. The regulatory status of cannabis has also changed substantially at the state level, although federal regulations have remained constant. The speakers will describe the chemistry, pharmacology, and epidemiology of cannabis use, as well as its impact on public health. Research gaps, the complexities of cannabis regulation, and how they interact will be discussed.

Speakers will include Susan Weiss, Ph.D., Ziva Cooper, Ph.D., and Meg Haney, Ph.D., and Geoffrey Laredo, MPA will serve as discussant for this timely and informative seminar!
