In Concert: Musicians, Writers, Artists Saying NO! Stop Trump/MAGA Fascism
On February 20, artists, writers, and musicians will come together in a concert to sound this alarm through their art, passion, and conviction: In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America.
The world now faces an unprecedented emergency. As the Trump/MAGA fascists rampage– literally destroying lives and futures from NYC to Gaza to Africa to Haiti in the space of 3 weeks– this concert will bring together artists to help inspire a massive movement to stop fascism, to break the paralysis of so many decent people who hate what’s going on but are mostly frozen in despair/confusion now.
Performers include:
Arturo O’Farrill, Grammy-winning Latin jazz pianist/composer/bandleader, founder Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra
William Parker, eminent jazz bassist, composer, founder of the Vision Jazz Festival
Frederick Joseph, poet, essayist, activist-philanthropist, author Patriarchy Blues
Outernational, revolutionary band
Brad Walrond, poet Every Where Alien
More artists to be announced.
The revolutionary leader Bob Avakian has stated, “This is a time for reaching out to all the others who feel the same outrage at Trump/MAGA fascism—a time for collective action and self-sacrificing struggle for the greater good: the greater good of defeating this fascism.” Time is short, the stakes are high.
