MCNY Centennial Weekend Celebration!

Join us for a weekend-long celebration of the Museum of the City of New York’s 100th birthday!

Friday night takes us back to the “Roaring Twenties,” the decade the Museum was founded. We kick off the festivities with Tin Pan Alley Hits of the ’20s, a concert spotlighting stories about the popular songwriters who emerged from Tin Pan Alley on 28th Street, with performances by Aisha de Haas and Robert Lamont.

The Jazz Age celebration continues at our Uptown Jazz Speakeasy featuring Dandy Wellington and his seven-piece jazz band. Be sure to don your best 1920’s attire and dancing shoes as we step back in time for an evening of jazz-age swinging and fun, with a modern twist!
