Morris-Jumel Mansion 2024 George Washington Dinner
Annual George Washington Dinner
Sunday, July 14, 2024
6:00-9:00pm
Please join us for a fun and elegant evening in support of the Morris-Jumel Mansion, an historic landmark in upper Manhattan which was dubbed by Duke Ellington “the jewel in the crown of Sugar Hill.”
Enjoy dinner and entertainment in the Mansion and on the grounds of the beautiful Roger Morris Park. The annual event commemorates the July 1790 dinner hosted at the Mansion by President George Washington and his wife Martha for his Cabinet and their wives, including John and Abigail Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander and Eliza Hamilton, and others. This year, you can be among the guests.
The 2024 dinner falls on Bastille Day, the French National Day. In recognition of the historic connection between the U.S. and France, we will be celebrating the values of liberty, equality, brotherhood, (liberté, égalité, fraternité) that still resonate today.
