Title: Reporting and Expanding Environmental Justice from the Frontlines

Abstract: As environmental justice enters the mainstream, how can journalists better communicate and uplift the frameworks and demands that organizers and activists have worked toward for decades? This seminar will focus on the underreported intersections of environmental justice that the media has historically ignored while organizers have advocated for them, including policing, incarceration, labor, and housing. All seminars this semester will be offered via Zoom and in person at ARB 10th Floor Hess Commons.
