TC Fall Book Talk Series: Touched Out, Amanda Montei

Please join us for the second installment of our TC Fall Book Talk Series that explores reproductive identity across the spectrum with Amanda Montei, author of Touched Out: Motherhood, Misogyny, Consent, and Control!

For this conversation, we will bring in the developmental lens of “matrescence” or the process of becoming a mother to discuss what has led mothers to experience the collective phenomenon of being “touched out” that Montei examines in her book.

Hosted by Khora, the Maternal & Reproductive Psychology Lab at Teachers College, Columbia University in collaboration with TC’s Gottesman Libraries. Dr. Aurélie Athan, Associate Research Professor in the Department of Counseling & Clinical Psychology at Teachers College who theorizes on reproductive identity development and matrescence, will moderate.

This TC Book Talk is FREE and open to all (including those outside of the TC community!). Refreshments will be served after so please bring a copy of your book to have it signed (purchased via Bookshop or the CU Bookstore).
