Translating Frailty Assessment & Management into Clinical Practice: Can technology help us in the future? Accelerometry & Voice-Activated Assistants

In this Columbia Aging Center seminar (aging.columbia.edu), Dr. Huisingh-Scheetz will discuss her experience in the Successful Aging and Frailty Evalution (SAFE) clinic at the University of Chicago as well as the challenges she has faced over the last decade. She will summarize her collaborative research relating accelerometry patterns to physical frailty and her research developing a physical activity and social engagement intervention leveraging a voice-activated device and co-designed with older adults. She will use her experience and work to help the audience consider the future of frailty assessment and management in clinical practice.
