Virtual Meditation: Meditation in Current Times
In today’s world, we face much uncertainty. Sometimes it feels as though the world as we know it has changed drastically, creating a constent state of stress and anxiety.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how meditation can be a tool you can use to help cope with the stressors of daily life. We’ll practice a tested meditation technique that can help reduce stress, improve concentration, and and relieve depressive thoughts, anxiety, and pain.
Presenter Bio:
Dave Buck and his wife, Nora, have lived in South Florida for over 20 years. He is a recently retired Senior Manager of Product Development Engineering with a Fortune 500 company.
Dave has been meditating for over 45 years after spending two months with his teacher in India as a young man. He has found meditation to be an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Whether we are a student, still in the work-a-day world, or living an active retirement, stresses and strains are a common feature of everyday living. Meditation can help us relax and rise above the stress of life. Our problems do not disappear, but meditation helps to smooth out the rough patches. We begin to see with a new perspective that is positive and life affirming.
