Virtual Parlor Chat: Revised Histories with Artist Traci Talasco
7:00 – 8:15 PM
Traci Talasco’s site-specific installations at the Morris-Jumel Mansion, “Revised Histories,” address the re-telling of history with its mistakes, inaccuracies, or details purposely left out. Viewing the space through a de-colonialist lens, her use of pink erasers and bars of Ivory soap recontextualize the familiar in poetic ways. Talasco has spent almost two years working on this project, and she will be discussing the concepts in the work, her research, and her process.
