What’s on the Ballot in NYC?
Did you know that racial justice and the environment are on the ballot in NYC this November?
The NYC Racial Justice Commission, the first of its kind in the nation, has advanced three ballot proposals that would amend NYC’s charter to establish a NYC Office of Equity and require the City to calculate a true cost of living measure to advance racial equity.
The Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022 would authorize the State of New York to authorize bond sales for up to $4.2 billion to fund environmental and climate initiatives in New York.
Join us for a voter awareness event with former Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson of the NYC Racial Justice Commission and others to learn about the important decisions facing New Yorkers this November.
