Happy Easter to all celebrating! The Textile Conservation Lab at the Cathedral is in the process of cleaning and conserving the finale dress worn by Judy Garland in Irving Berlin’s Easter Parade (1948). Owned by collector Scott Hedley, the ivory dress arrived with deep stains and several weak spots of wear in the shoulders after years of upright display. Over the last few months, the Textile team has been carefully conserving this delicate silk knit.
