The Cathedral is honored to welcome back Our Lady, Mother of Ferguson and All Those Killed by Gun Violence. This contemporary icon, created by artist Mark Doox, was part of our 2019 exhibition The Value of Sanctuary: Building a House Without Walls. The timelessness of its beauty, and the impact of its bold rendering of suspended violence, continues to speak to our 21st century questions about law and morality, Black lives and white supremacy, long after the exhibition has ended.
Please join us at our 11 am worship service this Sunday, February 14, when the Cathedral clergy will pay special respects to the icon as we welcome it back to the Nave.
All are welcome to stop by the Cathedral during any of our open hours to see this beautiful icon on display in the Crusaders Bay. We are so excited to have her back in our space.
