The New York Phil at the Cathedral’s Annual Memorial Day Concert returns for 2021! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cathedral building will not be open to the public for this year’s performance. As is tradition, the audio of the performance will be broadcast onto the adjacent Pulpit Green where the public is invited to gather and enjoy the music — weather permitting. The concert will also be livestreamed for free on NYPhil+, on the Philharmonic’s Facebook and YouTube channels, and on the Cathedral’s website and Facebook page.

The music will begin at 7pm on Monday, May 31. If you would like to join us on the Pulpit Green to enjoy the concert, please register at stjohndivine.org. Note that registration is required, but will not guarantee entry onto the Pulpit. We will have several overflow areas open to welcome as many audience members as possible, but the best way to ensure your spot on the grounds is to arrive early.

Please see our website for important health and safety info before you register. To help ensure the health and safety of our visitors, staff, residents and artists, the Cathedral is requesting that people wishing to enter the grounds for the annual Memorial Day Concert be fully vaccinated. This decision was made to accommodate as many people as possible.

We cannot wait to see you again for this signature event.
