24th Annual David N. Dinkins Leadership and Public Policy Forum

March 30, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The David N. Dinkins Leadership and Public Policy Forum is proud to welcome NY Attorney General Letitia James; Professor Basil Smikle; and Daughter of the Movement, Stacy Lynch, all in conversation with Michael Nutter, 98th Mayor of Philadelphia and David N. Dinkins Professor of Professional Practice in Urban and Public Affairs at the School of International and Public Affairs.

This online discussion will stream live on the David N. Dinkins Leadership and Public Policy Forum webpage, as our distinguished speakers discuss their shared histories as mentees of our former Mayor David N. Dinkins and their shared connections to one of his most enduring and endearing legacies to encourage young people to choose a life in public service.

Named for the 106th Mayor of the nation’s largest city, the first African American Mayor elected in New York City, this annual forum has addressed many of the challenging issues that successful urban ecosystems must contend with — including education, the environment, labor, tourism, incarceration, and fiscal crises – for over two decades.

Welcome Remarks:

Merit E. Janow, Dean of the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University

Live Discussion: Our Mayor’s Gorgeous Legacy, Stories of Life in Service to the Public
