Addressing Violence in the Wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic

October 27, 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Join a special webinar to learn about the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender-based violence and violence against children globally. Speakers will reflect upon the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic in addressing violence against women, children, and youth.

This includes an overview of how stay-at-home orders, restrictions in mobility, and limitations to accessing resources and health services have impacted violence against women, children, and young people in the context of COVID-19.

Additional related factors impacted by COVID-19 and how these relate to domestic violence, including economic insecurity, mental health, and hazardous drinking will also be discussed.
