The Ladies of Hope Ministries and the Columbia Law School Community Advocacy Lab are holding a narrative workshop to discuss driver’s license suspensions for traffic debt. Right now in New York, licenses can be suspended for unpaid traffic tickets or failure to appear on those tickets, and there is legislation pending in Albany to eliminate this practice. The goal of the workshop is to help people effectively share their stories about their own driver’s license suspension, as well as educating people about how a pending bill might change this practice.
Manhattan Workshop: Columbia Law School
Wednesday, December 4th from 5pm – 8pm. 1125 Amsterdam Ave, Rm 600, New York
