The Schomburg Center is proud to present our 5th annual First Fridays “Black Tie” Holiday Edition. This year, we invite you to become a Schomburg Angel by joining us for our exclusive, annual holiday fundraiser. All proceeds benefit Schomburg Center archives, exhibitions & programs.

This special event will celebrate the spirit of giving, and our 95-year history of preserving and presenting global black history and culture through our vast archival collections that are accessed across the world. Ring in the holiday season at this lavish cocktail affair that includes catered hors d’oeuvres by famous Melba’s Restaurant in Harlem and complimentary glasses of champagne from 6 pm to 7 pm.

Groove the night away with beats by DJ Kobs & DJ Manny O, the evening’s special guest host, Musa Jackson and his Angels. It will be mc’d by Raymond P. Lewis Events,we’ll also have a special performance by new R&B sensation Malkalm who will be doing his new songs and a holiday favorite!

With our extended hours, guests are invited to check out our current exhibitions First Fridays guests are invited to sign up for a Schomburg Society membership, and visit the Schomburg Shop—while networking and dancing the night away! For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. All registered tickets are released 15 to 30 minutes before start time, so we recommend that you arrive early.


Please note that holding seats in the Langston Hughes Auditorium is strictly prohibited and there is no food or drinks allowed anywhere in the Schomburg Center.
