Heidi Latsky, who started dancing at the age of 20 and is now dancing in her 60s while running her physically integrated company, will share thoughts about aging and her experiences with the disability community, particularly how her integrated work steers away from the “medical therapeutic” model even as there are clearly positive changes that occur for her dancers.

Gregory Youdan, a former HLD dancer, is currently a PhD Student in Kinesiology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Greg will highlight the emerging research of dance as intervention for aging populations and those who have neurological diseases.

Accompanying this talk will be some videos of Latsky’s work.
