Race to Action: Anti Asian American and Pacific Islanders Racism

Join Riverside’s Antiracism Taskforce on Thursday, April 15 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for a special Race to Action lab that focuses on anti-Asian American and Pacific Islanders Racism. The lab will cover the 150-year history of anti-Asian violence in the United States and what’s going on now, and offer a panoply of ways to act in solidarity and support with Asian Americans and other targets of racism.
Guest speakers will include the Rev. Laura Mariko Cheifetz, author of the March 20 CNN.com editorial “Being Asian American means living in a country that treats you as a perpetual foreigner. That has to change”
