Recognizing and Responding to Stalking

January 27, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

January 2021 marks the 17th annual National Stalking Awareness Month, a time to Turn Up the Volume on a serious issue that takes a long-term emotional, physical, psychological, and financial toll on survivors.
During this month of recognition, Sexual Violence Response will be hosting an event* entitled “Recognizing and Responding to Stalking”, an introductory session aimed at understanding stalking as a form of violence, and its short- and long-term impact. Participants will explore barriers to identifying and reporting stalking and strategies for addressing stalking on an individual, communal, and systemic level (including, but not limited to, Bystander Intervention techniques and real-life scenarios). This event will take place on Wednesday, January 27 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
