Short Fiction Writing
Join Horatio Potter for an eight-week, in-person fiction writing workshop to develop a cohesive and well-edited work of fiction. Students can expect to come to a fuller understanding of the following concepts by the end of the course:
o What is the overall structure of a compelling short story?
o Where do stories come from?
o How do our life experiences provide the material for short stories?
o How does fiction writing help us make sense of life?
The workshop will take place inside the Madeleine L’Engle Library at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Each class will be two hours long, beginning at 6 pm. The dates of the course are below. If you cannot attend one of these sessions, please let the instructor know ASAP to schedule a make-up class. Students cannot miss more than one session.
