Skin Cancer Prevention and Management During the Time of COVID-19

In this webinar, we will discuss the changes that have been implemented in Dermatology practices during the unprecedented COVID pandemic. We will review the guidelines that have been released for management of melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer (including lymphoma). We will share our experiences with cutaneous manifestations of COVID-19 from the Columbia Dermatology Consult service and will review the published literature of cases to date. Finally, we will reinforce the importance of sun safe behaviors as we are spending time outside during social distancing.

I. Background on COVID-19 and changes to how we manage medical conditions during this time
a. We will discuss the general changes to medical care during time of COVID including dermatological conditions, clinical trials, etc.

II. Guidelines for management of melanoma nonmelanoma skin cancer during time of COVID
a. We will discuss the NCCN and ACMS guidelines that have been released for management of nonmelanoma skin cancer during this time

III. Guidelines for management of CTCL during time of COVID
IV. Skin Manifestations of COVID- cases that have been seen on the Columbia consult service
V. Sun protection during social distancing- reinforce importance of sunsafe behavior.
