Absalom Jones, born in 1746, was first the African-American person ordained by the Episcopal Church, and his story is one of resilience, struggle, and powerful witness. This year’s celebration of the Blessed Absalom Jones will be held at St. Philip’s Church, Harlem, on Saturday, February 5 at 10:30 am.
