The Cathedral will always stand with Asian, Asian-American, and Pacific Islander communities. Over our 129 years of life in New York City, the diversity of our neighborhood and the nation as a whole has been an immense blessing–it’s our privilege to be a house of prayer for all people, and to be a meeting-place for individuals of many backgrounds and cultures. The worrying upswing in racist acts targeting people of Asian descent, particularly Asian women, has been distressing to so many in our community. We must always denounce violence and hatred, and commit to love and serve our neighbors ever more inclusively. To any and all people feeling at risk or afraid: know that you are always welcome here, at your Cathedral.
