NAACP Image Awards Nominees: ‘Harriet,’ ‘When They See Us’, Netflix Lead Way

Congratulations to MSM Board of Trustee, the jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard (HonDMA ’17)! He is nominated for his Outstanding Soundtrack for the film Harriet, at the NAACP Image Awards taking place on Feb 2.

Terence is being honored as an MSM Icon at Manhattan School of Music on Jan 24, where with the MSM Studio Orchestra, he will perform the entirety of his 2007 Grammy-winning album A Tale of God’s Will (A Requiem for Katrina), including songs written for Spike Lee’s HBO documentary on Hurricane Katrina.
