On Alzheimer’s Treatment, Researchers Say Music May Be Key

“The therapeutic benefits of music date back to centuries ago when it was used by Pythagoras to heal different psychological and physical ailments. Now, music has been used as an alternative or adjunctive intervention in Alzheimer’s Disease.” Further research is required to truly understand how music may be for the mind as well as the soul – but it’s an area academics are keen to explore.
