On Friday, February 19, Mount Sinai Morningside celebrated the beginning of Chinese New Year!
Chinese New Year, which began on Friday, February 12, is one of the most important holidays in China. Tied to the Chinese lunar calendar, the holiday is traditionally a time for people to honor their households, heavenly deities, and ancestors, and to also bring people together to celebrate new beginnings. At Mount Sinai Morningside, folks from around the hospital stopped by and celebrated the Chinese New Year with interesting and delightful conversations about Asian culture and traditions.
