Today is Martin Luther King Day. Today, we recognize, remember, and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—three days after what would have been his 92nd birthday. Celebrated annually on the third Monday of January, Martin Luther King Day honors the life and accomplishments of Dr. King, and the tremendous strides he took in advancing civil liberties for all Americans.

At Mount Sinai Morningside and at the Mount Sinai Health System, we remain committed to maintaining our momentum and advancing our efforts to be the leader among health systems in eliminating structural and systemic racism and addressing disparities within health care. Dr. King believed that access to quality health care is a right, not a privilege. We do, too.

Please join the Mount Sinai Health System on Tuesday, January 19 from 12pm – 1pm for a Town Hall that will recognize the National Day of Racial Healing and set aside time to share truth, deepen relationships, and build trust. For more information on how you can register for this event, please visit https://unitedinsolidarity.mountsinai.org/events/.
