“I am a queer, trans, non-binary, autistic Jew. Embracing my full self means showing up as unapologetically & authentically all of those identities 365 days a year, even when it makes other people uncomfortable,” says Dylan Kapit (MA ’20, @transteachertales), who joins us in our celebration of #Pride by reflecting on what intersectionality means to them. “It means not paring myself down to fit into other people’s boxes, but instead being my radical self, outside of anyone else’s ideas of who I should be or anyone’s understandings of what it means to be queer, or trans, or non-binary or autistic. It means being all of the beautiful things that I am at all times, in all spaces.” 👉 Learn more about Kapit & their work in special education & disability advocacy. #TCAlumni
