Bank Street School for Children Food Drive to Benefit City Harvest

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and community, Bank Street School for Children collected approximately 500 pounds of food (25 boxes) during its annual food drive to benefit City Harvest.
Students in the 1st and 4th grades spearheaded the effort: they decorated the collection boxes, created informational posters, and packed up the boxes of food.
The food collected was distributed to Hurricane Sandy relief centers and will also keep the shelves stocked at the network of emergency food programs throughout New York City.
