If you’re looking for the perfect location for an upcoming wedding, concert, reception or meeting, look no further than International House.
International House offers several public spaces, each with a unique feel, making it the perfect location for your upcoming event. Alumni of International House receive a discount on all public room rentals.
Rooms available for rental include the Dodge Room, the Edmonds Room (Home Room), the Hall of History (Davis Hall Foyer) and Davis Hall.
Because space is limited and the House is committed to providing its residents the highest quality experience, the House gives preference to those events that are most compatible with its mission. The House’s academic and summer programs receive priority for all facilities at all times. Because International House is a private residence, all events must end by 11 p.m.
Davis Hall features a New England-style interior, hardwood floors, a crystal chandelier, and a skylight. This space seats 250 people banquet style or 300 theater-style on the main floor with an additional 225 seats in the balcony. Davis Hall offers a grand piano, full proscenium stage with sound system and lighting. It is ideal for wedding receptions, gala dinners and large speaker events.
The Foyer off Davis Hall, better known as “The Hall of History”, is decorated with memorabilia from International House’s 80 plus-year history and serves as a lovely space for cocktails in conjunction with events in adjacent Davis Hall or the Home Room.
The Edmonds Room, known to most alumni and residents as the Home Room, overlooking Grant’s Tomb, is decorated with rare Chinese tapestries. The room has a capacity of 60. With a grand piano, this room is suitable for recitals, rehearsals, receptions and seminars.
The Cleveland Dodge Room, handsomely paneled and furnished, serves as a wonderful study center for residents off of the Main Lounge. With a capacity of 60, it provides a distinguished setting for small meetings and conferences.
