Morningside Area Alliance (“MAA”) has brought the leadership of the area’s institutions together since 1947. Its core values are Communication, Collaboration, and Community. These virtues are expressed through the association’s active efforts to foster a culture of collaboration among it membership of globally-recognized nonprofits. Members include: Barnard College, Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, Columbia University, Corpus Christi Church, Grant Houses, Interchurch Center, Jewish Theological Seminary, Manhattan School of Music, Mt. Sinai Morningside, The Riverside Church, St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s, Teachers College, and Union Theological Seminary.

  • We cultivate enduring cross- institutional relationships through networking, leadership forums, and communities of practice.
  • MAA provides a forum for participants to communicate ideas, challenges, and news.
  • To support collaboration, MAA facilitates and shares knowledge of joint initiatives and connects participants and other community members working in targeted issue areas.
