Alumni Relations will debut a new podcast series: Alumni Voices. The inaugural episode, “A Call to Action,” features Charo Uceda (M.A. ’08), founder of Uceda English Institute, which teaches English as a Second Language to students around the world, and funder of TC’s Charo Uceda Women’s Empowerment Lecture, and Sonya Douglass Horsford, Associate Professor of Education Leadership in conversation. The pair exchange ideas from TC’s role in preparing future leaders to empowering students and youth activists to take action now in developing their own advocacy efforts to drive social change. TC students Mariana Casellato, a master’s candidate in the International Educational Development program, and Krystal Hardy Allen, a doctoral candidate in the Urban Education Leaders Program, also share the inspiring ways that they have endeavored to promote agency among members of their communities.
