The Liverpool New Hebrew Congregation was formed in 1850, after its members split from the Seel Street synagogue. This print, by John Raphael Isaac, a Jewish draughtsman, printer, engraver, lithographer, print and bookseller, depicts the ambitious new building at the time of its dedication.
