Congratulations to MSM trustee and award-winning jazz musician and composer Terence Blanchard (HonDMA ’19) whose opera ‘Fire Shut Up in My Bones’ will open the Metropolitan Opera’s 2021 season this Monday, September 27th.

This is a historic event for the MET Opera as the first time it will perform an opera by a Black composer.
