Community Accountability, Response and Emergency Services (CARES) includes CARES Response, CARES Preparedness, Community Safety, and Nondiscrimination units. Reporting to the Director, Nondiscrimination, this role supports the Department Administrator and the CARES leadership team. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative oversight which includes processing and tracking quotes, invoices, accounts payable processes; providing administrative support including scheduling of people and spaces, department timekeeping; supporting unit and department record-keeping and bookkeeping for the CARES Department.
Executive Assistant to the Provost
Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the Provost, the Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the Provost’s calendar, scheduling meetings, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of all relevant meeting material. The Executive Assistant will work closely with the Chief of Staff to the Provost to develop a clear understanding of the Provost’s commitments and priorities. Director of Community Engagement, Office of Community Engagement and Inclusion
Co-reporting to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and the Senior Advisor to the President for External Relations & Leadership Development, the Director of Community Engagement is a position of leadership charged with optimizing the college’s approach to civic and community engagement through facilitating relationships between the college, community leaders and stakeholders across the city as well as in Harlem and Morningside Heights. The Director is responsible for ensuring that community engagement work is rooted in sustained and meaningful relationships with the local community and maximizes existing institutional efforts. The Director ensures that the Office of CEI is an accessible and efficient “front door” for students who want to do work in the community, providing them optimal opportunities through the rich resources available through Barnard, Columbia, and beyond. The Director provides management and oversight of the Associate Director of Sponsored Programming, and is ultimately responsible for the success and expansion of Barnard College’s efforts to expand STEAM In The City and other sponsored programming.
Reporting to the Site Leader, the Program Manager coordinates and monitors all activities related to the National Institute of Health (NIH)/DAIDS clinical trials and COVID grant-funded research conducted through the Harlem Prevention Center (HPC), including study initiation and protocol start up activities, regulatory, recruitment/retention, data management, and quality assurance /quality control activities. Closely collaborate with site and Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) leadership and manages study staff in the implementation of study goals and objectives.

Senior Staff Developer
