About the Symposium

Teamwork and leadership have always been esteemed in the workplace, but today are critical skills for any professional who wants to help their organization manage change. Constant change in funding, audience, and technology is driving a move to “catch up” with the healthy organization’s expectation of leadership at every managerial level. A key to leadership success is strong communication and collaboration (team) skills.  The Morningside Collaborative Leadership Symposium will support emerging leader’s professional development by delivering a highly interactive skill-building program in these sought-after and transferable skills.  With its focus on one of the most challenging aspects of doing business today – collaboration – participants and participating organizations can identify “silo busting” opportunities while strengthening their network among peer institutions in Morningside Heights.

“Collaboration among our staff is key to moving in a positive direction.  Improving how we communicate across departments is a top priority for our leadership team this year.”  Dean, Participating Academic Institution

This program has been specially designed for the emerging leaders, department heads, managers, and recommended staff and partners of our member institutions.

What You’ll Accomplish
