Yesterday JTS faculty and administration, along with members of the Rabbinical Assembly, met with Pak Yahya Cholil Staquf, leader of Nahdlatul Ulama, an Indonesian Muslim organization of 90 million (90,000,000+) plus members. They came to JTS because they practice Islam with loyalty to Islamic law, yet commitment to modernity, much like Conservative Judaism.
